Hi! I’m Abby, and I’m a media and journalism major with minors in data science and Spanish at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). I’m currently an assistant university editor for The Daily Tar Heel (DTH), and I plan to pursue a career in data-driven investigative journalism.

In addition to the DTH, I report on the latest venture capital and entrepreneurial news in the Southeast for GrepBeat Triangle Tech News. I’ve always been interested in technology, data and innovation. I’d like to expand my political and economic reporting into data regulation and technological ethics.

I would describe myself as an ambitious and curious student eager to become a global citizen through interdisciplinary education and empathetic conversation. I love to connect with others and am looking forward to meeting people within the journalism industry.
